Three color reductive linocut

This print celebrates the strength of the ama divers, the "sea women" of Japan, divers famous for free diving to collect pearls. Traditionally they would dive bare-breasted, but eventually began to wear white clothing.

"The Pearl Diver" will be part of the #imprinted_PrintX7 international print exchange. The theme is "depth." Two groups of 20 printmakers were chosen from 500 applications.
